CAROL L. KARDAS, has more than 20 years of experience in the Human Resource and Compensation fields.  Prior to starting a private practice, she was Executive Vice President of Human Resources for a large real estate development and construction company, and worked as Director of Human Resources and Compensation for CIGNA, a national financial service organization.  She has HR experience in Public Accounting, Law, Manufacturing and Healthcare.

Carol is currently strategic planning director for the State of Connecticut Human Resource Council; is a past president for the Human Resource Association of Central Connecticut; a member of the American Compensation Association (ACA), from which she earned her Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation; and a member of the National Society for Human Resource Management, earning her Senior Professional in Human Resource (SPHR) designation.

Certified in Advanced Employee Relations Law, Retention Strategies and Career Counseling, she has published numerous supervisory training courses and authored "A Business Primer for Human Resource Professionals" for World at Work.

Additionally, she is Vice President for the Senior Citizens' Job Bank, and an adjunct instructor for Saint Joseph College, where she teaches a HR Certificate Course.

Margot M. Larson's leadership skills are well known and respected in both civic and professional circles. She specializes in consulting practices providing management coaching and a full-range of human resource services. She has been in private practice since 1990 as the founder and principal of Management Alternative, LLC. Previous to starting her own practice, Margot was Director of Human Resources and Facilities for a large printer and publisher with multiple locations in Connecticut, and has held several HR related positions in Connecticut and in the Province of Quebec, Canada. She is also currently Immediate Past President of Human Resource Leadership Association of Eastern Connecticut, vice president of the National Cancer Awareness Council and incoming President for the Connecticut Women in Health Care Management.
